What is CSR?


The Construction Skills Register, more commonly known as CSR

Aims of the Register

· To keep a record of workers in the construction industry who have achieved a recognised level of competence and to provide a means of identification.
· Be available on a voluntary basis to construction workers whose occupations are not covered by a certificate scheme.
· To raise standards of health and safety. To reduce the risks and accidents throughout the industry by ensuring that all workers in the industry undertake health and safety training every 4 years.
· To encourage construction employers to use skilled workers.
· To provide certification for workers in the province, which is also accepted in the Rep. of Ireland and G.B. through mutually recognised qualifications.
