Future Pathways is a new initiative aimed at supporting care-experienced young people aged 18–25 to move into employment, education, or training.
What the programme offers:
• Vocational taster sessions to explore career options
• Essential skills support (literacy and numeracy)
• Industry-recognised qualifications
• One-to-one mentoring and personalised guidance
• Support into employment, further education, or training
Eligibility:
Participants must:
• Be aged 18–25
• Live in the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council area
• Have experience of being in care
• Not currently be in employment, education, or training
• Be willing to fully engage with the programme
This is a really valuable opportunity for young people who may face additional barriers, and it aligns strongly with the work we do across Workforce.
